Delaney Property Inspections, LLC is owned and operated by Missouri certified inspector JD Delaney. JD has worked as an inspector for over 30 years, specifically as an inspector for the construction industry working with restaurants, hotels, educational facilities, and other large-scale properties.

JD has always been detail-oriented, and he enjoys the challenging nature of the property inspection career. He builds strong relationships with his clients while helping them better understand their potential investments and purchases. In his spare time, JD enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, reading, hiking, and traveling.

Diversified Background in Construction and Engineering

JD’s knowledge of both commercial and residential properties comes from his background working as a general contractor in various fields. For over 35 years, he worked across almost all fields within the construction, architectural, and engineering industries.

Most notably, he began his career as an electrician, then became a construction inspector for projects under litigation. JD then entered into a career as a technician in forensic engineering, where he was involved in the evaluation and investigation of structures. From that experience, he moved on into fields of both facility management and construction management.

All of these positions allowed JD to pay close attention to detail and learn everything there is to know about the systems and components of a building from the roof to the foundation and both architectural and engineering aspects of construction. His diverse background has prepared him for the inspection industry, and today he uses his skills to help buyers and investors understand their own unique properties.
